FIRST VICE PRESIDENT -Gene McKeown It has been some time since the last Chatter was sent out and I am pleased to submit my ••two cents worth" My name is Gene McKeown and I am the 2012 First Vice President of District 7 IOBG. My club is Catawba West Harbor Yacht Club where I was the 2009 Commodore. Since joining District 7 I have served as the 2010 Secretary and the 2011 Cleveland West Vice President. My wife, Connie, is a member of the District 7 Auxiliary. We have two children and six grandkids, ranging in age from 1 to 20. Our boating is done in and around the Erie Islands with the boat docked at Foxhaven in Catawba West Harbor.

Sandusky Yacht Club joined District 7 this year which has put us in a near tie for the largest District in the IOBG, in members as well as area, of all the U.S. Districts. We are starting the renewal of membership for 2012 and our goal is to remain in the top spot in 2012. The position of Past Commodore is unique and something of which to be proud. I hope you will stay active in District 7. During the coming year we will have the opportunity to get together and share some refreshments and laughs.
